LIGHTSHED TRANSFORMATION

This ugly duckling on a prime Cedar Mill lot beckoned to us.  Our clients had a home around the corner and had been watching Rezide homes sprouting up in the neighborhood.  An executive couple with two talented and active children, they drew a sketch of a floorplan on a piece of graph paper.   It reminded me of my childhood days, dreaming of houses and using my engineer dad's graph paper to draw them!  I went to work :)

We imagined a home that would be at once edgy and cozy, meeting all the many functions our clients required, including:  gym, garage band area, ensuite bedrooms, 2 offices and an amazing indoor/outdoor entertainment space with a 16 ft cantilevered awning over their deck.  Further customizations included a mandir for sacred reflection, built-in bookshelves for their collection of objets d'art and curated art pieces.  We could not have been happier with the collaboration of our clients!
